Combine two machines in one pass.
You can recognize the specific PTO by the "E" behind the rpm.
Jan de Vries of agricultural contractor De Vries Stolwijk BV has equipped five Valtra tractors with an ECO front PTO from Zuidberg. This allows the tractor to offer the desired 1,000 rpm on the front PTO at a much lower engine speed. This provides De Vries with a saving of approximately 5 litres of fuel per hour of operation and a pleasant noise reduction.
De Vries tries to make the most of the advantage of the ECO pto by carrying out as many combined operations as possible. In addition to the mowing combination, he also mentions the rotary tiller combination. "Of course we also use the front linkage for the sweeper, front weights and the reel for the drag hoses. But then the advantage of the ECO PTO is less visible."

By changing the gear ratio in the PTO, the input shaft speed can be reduced to still transmit the 1,000 revs to the machine. In other words, the engine speed can be reduced without compromising the drive of the machine in the front linkage.
In practice, this yields benefits of up to 10% fuel savings.
Zuidberg's ECO PTO fits in very well with the trends in tractor technology. Modern engines tend to deliver their highest torque at lower revs. Whereas previously 2,000 was the speed at which the most power was delivered, nowadays it is 1,700 to 1,750.
Lower engine speed also means lower noise level in the cabin. This increases driver comfort.
